Thrilling news: The Last Unicorn is going on tour!!! This beautiful animated movie is going to be in THEATERS all over the country and beyond! The first screening is in San Francisco on April 20th.

If you're a fan -- if you don't know what The Last Unicorn is -- and if you're even close to the area, you'll want to be there. Peter S. Beagle, the author of the book the movie is based on, will be there and it is his birthday! So it's going to be extra special with prizes, Q&A, cake, costumes, singing... I don't know what all. But it will be amazing, that's for sure!

There will be screenings all over America from now through the end of 2015, as well as several major cities in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany. And Peter S. Beagle will be at every one of them. So if you aren't in the area this time, hopefully it will be coming to "theaters near you."

UPDATE: It was AMAZING! Seeing it up on the big screen, perfect color, improved audio, in amidst the sea of fans... It was fantastic! Almost surreal in its awesomeness. The concentration of love for Peter S. Beagle in that room was palpable. I especially loved the Q&A before the movie started. It's great hearing Peter's take on everything. A young fan asked him about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It was adorable.
