Mgnokame

I had to write a short story my junior year in high school and I did this watercolor pencil drawing to illustrate it. The story was actually about a magical/sprite little girl who has a telepathic link with a creek. The narrator, however, was her water-cat companion, Mgnokame (made up language for “Guardian”) who shares in the link, so that’s who I drew. The story has some good points but suffers from a hard deadline and lack of a re-write. I like the vivid colors I managed to bring out in the picture, though.
