Birthday gift for my brother. He loves ants! 
I looked through his book on ants and picked out the one I thought he'd like best. Turns out he can't decide which is his favorite kind of ant, but he thinks Weavers are beautiful. 
I might make some other kinds later, that was fun!
Needle-felted over pipe cleaners, which were trimmed and colored slightly with marker to look segmented. Mandibles and eyes made from painted paper clay. About 5.5 in. long.
